OMTILO started with a bathroom shelf that had quietly gotten out of hand: ten bottles, three actives too many, and skin that felt more reactive, not less. The promise of “more” had stopped working.
So we asked a simpler question: what if a routine did less, but did it kindly? Fewer steps. Gentler formulas. Honest words. That idea became OMTILO: fewer products, made with more care.
OMTILO (om-TEE-lo) comes from two quiet roots: 'om', the Scandinavian word for care (omsorg, omtanke), and 'tilo', the word for the linden tree, a calming botanical. Together: care that brings skin to rest. It's printed on every box too: be gentle with your skin. The one instruction that matters most.
The name comes from Scandinavian roots, and so does the feeling we design for: calm, clean and considered, with a love of natural light, soft texture and nothing for show. It shows up in how our products look, how they feel, and how little they shout.
